Leisure Networks currently operates the Access for All Abilities Program, with the key objectives of:

* Promoting awareness of the benefits of active participation;
* Providing support for inclusive sport and recreation environments;
* Influencing the planning and development of accessible and inclusive sport and recreation environments; and
* Fostering and developing partnerships to enhance access and inclusion in the sport and recreation sector.

Through the Access for All Abilities program Leisure Networks works in partnership with local sport and recreation clubs to deliver a range of activities. Please see below for the range of exciting options.

All Abilities Football League
The AAFL is a modified version of Australian Rules Football, it’s no contact so it’s safe, fun and fair but it still has all those great things you love about Aussie Rules Footy like kicking, handballing, marking and kicking goals.

A competition for girls and boys 12 years and over, games are played from May through to July and are hosted by Drysdale Football Club and Grovedale Football Club. The games at Drysdale are played under lights on Friday nights from 6.30pm and Grovedale hosts their games on Sunday mornings from 10am.

All Abilities Netball League
The GFL All Abilities Netball League is into its 6th season in 2011 and is strongly supported by St Albans, Grovedale, St Joseph's, Newtown, Bell Park and Bell Post Hill Netball Clubs.

Games are played at the Kardinia Netball courts on Friday nights from 5.30pm from May to September. This is mixed competition with the emphasis on inclusion and everyone having a go.

Barwon All Abilities Cricket - Geelong & Colac
The Barwon Disability Cricket League is supported by cricket clubs in the Geelong area and is heading into it’s sixth season.

The league is aimed at people aged 14 years and older and you don’t need to have played before. Everyone gets a bat and a bowl and the focus is on fun!

if you are a resident of Colac you can participate in local Colac All Abilities cricket program which is proudly supported by City United Cricket Club.

The summer of 2011/12 will be the second season of the locally based program which truly does cater for people of All Abilities so come along and join in the fun!

Indoor Soccer - Geelong
Two Indoor Soccer programs are available in the region, the North Geelong and Barwon Boomers soccer programs. These programs are supported by local clubs and are very easy to play,suiting people of any skill level with fun and inclusion as the key focus.

Both programs run on Saturday mornings during the second and third school terms. The North Geelong program will run from 10.00 - 11.00am at the Leisuretime Centre, Corio and the Barwon Boomers program will run at the Barwon Valley Activity Centre in Belmont from 11am – 12pm.

AA Soccer Geelong
 
Indoor Soccer - Colac
Indoor Soccer for people with a disability is a safe, fun and inclusive indoor soccer competition that is open for people of all ages and ability levels.

The competition is supported by Colac Otway Soccer Association and games are played from February to April on Saturday mornings from 10am to 11am at Bluewater Fitness Centre in Colac.

AABL - Geelong & Colac
All Abilities Basketball for people with a disability in Geelong runs from July to August on Tuesday nights from 5.30pm at The KD Stewart Centre, Deakin Univeristy, Waurn Ponds.

A similar AABL program is run in Colac from July to September from 5pm on Tuesday evenings at Bluewater Fitness Centre in Colac.

All Abilities Lawn Bowling League
Leisure Networks in conjunction with the Geelong & District Bowls Association, and local bowling clubs and local disability agencies have once again combined to run the All Abilities Lawn Bowling League.

A new season will begin around October 2011 and will be held at Drumcondra Bowls Club, Geelong West Bowls Club and Geelong Lawn Bowls Club.

Sailability

Sailability operates in numerous countries throughout the world, through activities at 350 local Sailability clubs. Sailability is a "not for profit", volunteer-based organisation which, through the activity of sailing, enriches the lives of people with any type of disability, the elderly, the financially and socially disadvantaged.

Sailability Geelong operates out of the Royal Geelong Yacht Club at Eastern Beach and runs on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from November to May.

All Abilities Fishing
All Abilities Fishing was a smash hit in the summer of 2010/11 and will be continuing in 2011/12.

Fishing rod’s, tackle and bait are provided by Fishcare Geelong with fishing experts on hand to teach you to bait up and cast out! Drinks and snacks also provided.

Target Rifle Geelong
Target Rifle Geelong in partnership with Leisure Networks is developing opportunities for people with disabilities to participate in Target shooting.

Target shooting is a safe sport for men and women which is both challenging and rewarding, and is a great social outing.

Target Rifle Geelong is committed to building an inclusive club environment and are able to make modifications to cater for all.

All Abilities Gymnastics
Geelong Gymnastics are conducting regular Gymnastics classes at their fantasticly equiped centre at the Arena,110 Victoria St, North Geelong.

Its great fun, participants learn gymnastics in a safe and friendly environment with accredited coaches. Gymnastics improves fitness, co ordination, flexibility and strength.

The classes are conducted on Saturdays 10.30-11.30am and you get your 1st lesson FREE.

Seasonal fee is $110(per term), $61 rego/insurance(per year)
